Step one in solving burnout involved addressing the issue quickly. Step two was about opening up to friends and family for help. Today we're going to work on reevaluating our priorities.
It's easy to see all the negative effects of burnout, there is one positive. You get to hit the reset button and figure out what you should and shouldn't be doing. Let the beating you took from burnout push you towards developing healthy habits. Take that break you so desperately need and sort out what you really should be doing.
Think through the goals you have for life and evaluate if you're on the path to actually attain them. Put your family back at the top of the list. It might be time to make that job change. Get ruthless on cutting out the things in your life that aren't assignments.
Take the time to reevaluate your priorities, write them down on paper, and plan out the steps you'll take to ensure burnout doesn't knock you out again.
